A man has been injured in a gun attack in Co. Carlow.
It happened in the early hours of this morning.
The 25-year-old male victim was at home on the Burrin Road in Carlow town when there was a knock at his door at about 2:25am this morning.
When he answered it several shots were fired injuring him in the stomach and knee.
He was brought to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny.
He is now being treated there for his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact Carlow Garda Station.
