A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Dublin this morning.
The man, aged in his late 20s, was attacked at the Brownsbarn Estate in the Kingswood area near Citywest this morning.
His body was found outside a house in the estate at around 7am.
Officers are believed to be investigating if the man was attacked over a parking space.
It is understood there was no connection between the victim and the suspect, and they may not have even known each other.
The area has been sealed off for a technical exam and gardaí are carrying out door to door inquiries in the area.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested and taken to Clondalkin Garda Station.
Gardaí said they are “investigating all the circumstances" surrounding the stabbing as there is currently no known motive.
They are appealing to anyone who was in the Brownsbarn Estate and Kingswood area between the hours of 6am and 7am and may have any information to contact them.
They are particularly interested in hearing from drivers who may have dash-cam footage.
