Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a man was stabbed in Dublin city centre yesterday.
Gardaí said the man was assaulted on Marlborough Street shortly before 1pm.
He was treated for apparent stab wounds at the scene before being taken to the Mater Hospital by ambulance.
His condition is understood to be stable this morning.
Gardaí have carried out an examination of the scene and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have camera footage in the Marlborough Street and North Earl Street area around the time of the attack.
Local enquiries are ongoing this morning but no arrests have been made.
