Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in broad daylight outside a well-known pub in north Dublin.
The victim was attacked after two men on a motorbike pulled up near the pub this afternoon in Finglas.
This attack happened just after lunchtime near the Bottom of the Hill pub in Finglas. The victim (23) was on foot when a motorbike carrying two men pulled up beside him.
It is not yet clear whether he was attacked by both men or if one stayed on the bike while he was stabbed repeatedly.
Gardai say the attackers were dressed all in black and wore dark helmets, making it hard to identify them.
They sped away in the direction of Main Street, Finglas and the alarm was raised.
The victim was taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries is not yet known.
Given the fact that it happened in broad daylight on a busy street in Finglas, investigating gardai are hoping somebody may have witnessed the attack and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
