Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed in west Dublin.

The serious assault happened outside a house on Oakwood Grove in Clondalkin at around 6.45am on Friday morning.

A man aged in his late 30s was taken to Tallaght University Hospital.

Gardaí say he has serious injuries, believed to be stab wounds.

No arrests have yet been made and investigations are ongoing.
