Robb Montejano of Seattle, Washington stopped to film a lightning storm, but ended up capturing himself being struck by lightning on camera.

He was walking through a field in the middle of the day when, despite the clear blue skies above, he noticed the lightning storm.

In the video which he uploaded on YouTube, Montejano is talking about trying to get a shot of the storm before you hear terrifying sound of the lightning strike hitting him.

"I just felt this surge of electricity go 'boom' through my body," Montejano told a Seattle news station.

"The electricity flowing through my body. I can't describe it. It was amazing."
