A man suspected of involvement in a fatal hit and run in Co. Kerry over a year ago has been arrested by police in London.

Father of four Paudie O'Leary, from Gneeveguilla, died when he was hit by a jeep which did not stop in July 2012.

Gardai requested that the London Metropolitan Police make the arrest. The suspect will be held until a European Arrest Warrant is issued.
