A 33-year-old man charged with the murder of Romanian teenager Marioara Rostas has been sent forward for trial.

Alan Wilson of New Street Gardens in Dublin 8 is accused of killing the 18-year-old at a house on Brabazon Street in the south inner-city on January 8th 2008.

The body of Mariora Rostas was found in a shallow grave in the Wicklow Mountains last January following a 13-day search operation by gardai.

The Romanian teenager had been missing for 4 and a half years.

A post mortem concluded she had been shot in the head.

She was last seen alive by her 15-year-old brother on January 6th 2008 getting into a car at Lombard Street East in Dublin City Centre.

The pair had been begging.

When Alan Wilson was charged with her murder last April he replied after being cautioned ‘I didn’t do this’.

Today he was served with the book of evidence.

Judge John Lindsay has sent him forward for trial to the next sittings of the Central Criminal Court.
