Gardaí have arrested a man and a woman after a man was stabbed in front of a young child in Cork city earlier this month.
The man was sitting in a parked on North Main Street in the city when he was stabbed a number of times by another man at around 10:45am on Tuesday October 1st.
There was a young child in the car with him at the time.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was treated for a number of stab wounds.
Today, detectives from the Serious Crime Unit carried out a number of searches in the city.
A woman in her 20s was arrested and taken to Gurranabraher Garda Station.
She has since been released without charge.
A man in his 30s was also arrested. He is being held at the Bridewell Garda Station.
