A man and a woman have been killed in a crash in Co Meath.
It happened on the N51 between Navan and Slane at around 1pm today.
Gardaí say the car which was travelling from Slane to Navan collided with a lorry.
The driver of the car (a 23-year-old man) and a passenger (a 21-year-old woman) were fatally injured in the crash.
Their bodies have been taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where post-mortem exams will be carried out.
The 31-year-old driver of the lorry was not injured in the crash.
He was arrested at the scene and taken to Navan Garda Station, where he was later released.
Emergency services are at the scene and the road remains closed.
