A South African government spokesman says Nelson Mandela has 'not yet fully recovered' - despite being discharged from hospital.

The 94-year-old former South African president and anti-apartheid leader was released from hospital yesterday - after 3 weeks of treatment for a lung infection and gallstones.

Mac Maharaj, a spokesman for President Jacob Zuma says Mandela's condition is improving.

But he says Mandela will still need further treatment at home.
