Gardaí are studying CCTV footage as they investigate the botched tiger kidnapping of a 19-year-old man in Limerick over the weekend.
The teenager whose relatives own a post office was taken from a house in the Castletroy area by an armed gang on Sunday night.
He was then hooded and driven around in his own van for a number of hours while the gang ordered him to demand a ransom from his family.
It is understood gardaí later came across the vehicle and the gang fled the scene without receiving any money.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested.
Gardaí are also hunting for other members of the armed gang.
Reporter David Raleigh says officers are trying to trace the movements of the Toyota vehicle.
