A major Garda investigation is underway after a man’s body was found in a recycling centre in south Dublin.
The body was found at the facility in Ballymount early this morning.
The scene has now been sealed off ahead of a forensic investigation.
A Garda spokesperson said the body belonged to a 'white male' and has since been removed from the scene to the Dublin city Mortuary where a post-mortem will take place.
“Gardaí are currently at the scene, in relation to the discovery of a body at a recycling centre in Ballymount, Dublin 24 this morning.”
They said Gardaí were first notified about the discovery at around 6.40am.
“The scene is currently preserved and the technical bureau have been requested to attend the scene,” they said.
The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
