Gardaí are investigating after a man's body was discovered in 'unexplained circumstances' in Co Westmeath.
The man was aged in his 60s and was found dead by Gardaí shortly after 6pm.
He was discovered in a bungalow on a country road in Rattin - just a couple of kilometres away from the village of Miltownpass.
He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Just before 9.30am this morning, the Garda Technical Bureau arrived at the scene, where they’ll carry out a forensic exam.

It’s understood the State Pathologist will examine the man’s body later today, which is believed to be still at the scene.
The discovery is being treated as an unexplained death, and a post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
