A man's ear was partly bitten off by a stranger in the early hours of this morning.  

The Police Service of Northern Ireland described the attack on Ballymoney Street in Ballymena as unprovoked. 

The attacker then fled and his victim was taken to hospital for treatment. 

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to get in contact with them.
