Mr Price’s recent marketing campaign featuring slogans on vans like 'Fancy a Ride', 'Honk for a Hunk' and 'From Hunk to Hero', which have sparked controversy for being offensive.
What was the intent behind these slogans and does the company plan to address the public backlash?
On Lunchtime Live, listener Mary, who got in touch with the show about this, expressed her opinion on the slogans.
“The phrase ‘fancy a ride’ has sexual connotations and in other media, you know, there's a watershed before which certain content is not acceptable,” she said.
“But these company’s vans are out there morning, noon and night, they're in the public eye all day.
“I'm just wondering is it really acceptable that our children and adolescents are exposed to this type of sexual content?”
Mary explains that at the front of the van the slogan reads ‘fancy a ride’, on the back it reads ‘honk for a hunk’ and on the side it says ‘from hunk to hero’.

“I think it's important to say there are organisations in this country whose job it is to support people who don't fancy a ride and whose no wasn't acceptable,” she said.
“So I'm just wondering - why does this company think that these slogans on its vans are acceptable?”
Mary said the issue isn’t about being offended or not, the question is if it is okay for children to be exposed to “sexualised content”.
