A man accused of murdering Mary Ward has been refused bail.
Ahmed Abdirahman (31), who used an address at Kinlay House on Dame Street in Dublin 2, brought an application to the High Court earlier today.
Ms Ward (22) was found dead on October 1st at her home in Belfast.
The accused was arrested in Dublin on October 9th and was remanded in custody two days later.
Today, Mr Abdirahman brought an application for bail before the court.
Gardaí objected to bail citing flight risk concerns.
During the bail hearing, the judge said that the accused had left the jurisdiction where the event allegedly happened and had "no ties" to the south.
In her ruling the judge said that on the balance of probabilities the accused would seek to evade justice if granted and said there are no conditions that would allay her fear in that regard.
She then refused bail.
Mr Abdirahman is due back in court on November 25th.
