Mary-Lou McDonald of Sinn Féin has said some TDs should carefully consider their drinking.

The Dáil bar has been under scrutiny since the late-night debates on the abortion Bill which saw some TDs drinking into the early hours before voting.

The Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte has said nobody was drunk in the Dáil chamber during the abortion Bill vote on July 10th.

"There wasn't anybody in my sight in the last vote - which I think was about 4:50am...who had any sign of having taken alcohol to excess" he said.

"Nobody that I could see" he added.

Deputy McDonald says that having a bar in Leinster House is a nice facility for visitors, but that TDs should tread carefully when it comes to visiting it themselves.
