A mass demonstration has taken place in Waterford today.

Over 10,000 people are believed to have marched through the city in protest to a proposed downgrading of Waterford Regional Hospital.

A leaked report has sparked concern among locals, which is believed to recommend the regrouping of the South East hospitals.

Speaking to Waterford"s WLRfm, Kilkenny County Councillor Cora Long spoke out against the plans:
