The 13-year-old died after his tractor overturned in Co Mayo on Saturday night.  

The incident happened at approximately 8.15pm on the L1610 in Scarduane near Claremorris. 

The young teenager was treated at the scene before being removed to Galway University Hospital.

He was later transferred to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin, where he pronounced dead on Sunday evening.

There were no other people in the tractor at the time, and no one else was injured. 

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road at the crash site has now fully reopened to traffic. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
