All McDonald's drive-thru restaurants will reopen by Thursday June 4th.
Between Tuesday and Thursday next week, an additional 51 restaurants will open their doors.
It follows the opening of six of its restaurants in Dublin last week.
The chain says to manage anticipated demand it will release the location of the reopening outlets on the morning of each day.
The opening of several drive-thrus in Dublin last week led to long queues of cars outside some of the restaurants.
In a statement today, McDonald's said: "In the last week, on occasion, we have taken the decision to close Drive Thru lanes where demand has impacted local communities or the safety of our people or customers.
"We will continue to work with local stakeholders and An Garda Síochána as we extend our reopening plans."
All McDonald's restaurants in the country closed on March 23rd amid the increasing coronavirus restrictions.
The reopening drive-thrus have a number of extra rules in place - including protective gear for staff and a €30 limit on orders.
McDonald's says orders "will take a little longer" in the reopening restaurants and that they expect "demand will be high".
