Two men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in an aggravated burglary at a home in County Cork over the weekend.
Gardaí said two men entered a house on Cherry Tree Road in Togher in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.
A man in his 20s who was living in the house was assaulted and taken to Cork University Hospital with what was believed to be a stab wound.
He has since been discharged.
Investigators were alerted shortly before 3am and a preliminary investigation has been carried out by the Serious Crime Unit.
Two men were arrested on Sunday and Monday.
They were held at Togher and Bridewell Garda Stations and have since been charged to appear before Cork City District Court this morning.
