Two men have appeared in court in Kildare charged with theft and fraud offences amounting to over €8.8 million.
Former solicitor 42-year-old John Duffy from Clogheen, Monasterevin in Kildare and 69-year-old Tony McAuliffe from French Furze in Kildare Town both appeared in court today.
They face 2 charges each under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
Both men appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court.
They were remanded on bail to appear in court again next month on November 5th.
