Several weather warning shave been issued across the country today. An Orange weather alert is still in place this morning warning of snow and ice in Donegal.
Up to 6 centimetres of snow is expected to fall above 500 feet and ice may affect many roads.
A Yellow warning is also in place for snow and ice in Longford, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
Scattered snow showers are forecast today with accumulations up to 3 centimetres.
Meanwhile an Orange wind warning is in place for the on the south and south-west coast, with gusts of up to 130 kilometres expected.
Wexford, Galway, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford are expected to see stormy weather developing tomorrow.
Met Éireann says westerly winds cold reach average speeds of 70 to 80 kilometres per hour.
