Met Éireann is warning of very wintry conditions in parts of the country overnight.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in northern areas - with some snow showers, sleet and icy patches expected on untreated surfaces.
Meanwhile, a 'yellow' rainfall warning is in place across Munster, South Leinster and Galway this afternoon, with rainfall accumulations of more than 25 millimetres expected.

The warning is valid until 3am on Friday morning.
