The funeral of Michael Foley, who was found dead in Cork last week, has taken place.
His requiem mass took place at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Clonakilty and he will be buried in St Mary's Cemetery in the town.
The father of four was described as an outgoing and pleasant man who liked to socialise with his friends at home.
He is survived by his father Mickey, daughters, grandchildren and other family members.
Untimely death
Last week, a care worker called to check on Mr Foley, in his sheltered accommodation at Annville, Barret's Place in Macroom, after neighbours expressed concern that he had not been seen for a few days.
Gardaí launched a murder probe after a post-mortem revealed that the 61-year-old had suffered a violent death.
