A man has been charged by Gardaí investigating the murder of Michael Foley in Macroom.
The 61-year-old was found dead at his home at Annville in Barrett's Place ten days ago.
He was discovered by a care worker who went to check on him amid concerns for his welfare.
The Cork man was found on the floor of the property with visible injuries to his head, neck and upper body.
Gardaí launched a murder inquiry the following day and on Wednesday, they arrested a man and a woman in their 30s.
The woman was released without charge this morning with Gardaí to prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
