The US TV network NBC has confirmed Michael J Fox is to star in a new sitcom, more than a decade after he quit full-time acting.

The actor, who’s fighting Parkinson’s disease, is to feature in a show loosely based on his personal life – including how he deals with his condition.

There’s no word yet on who’ll star alongside him.
