Michael Schumacher's condition has reportedly worsened after a skiing accident and his life is now in danger.

L'equipe, the French sports newspaper, says Schumacher is critical and a Parisian neurosurgeon has been flown in to the former F1 champion's bedside.

His management also confirms he's in a coma with head trauma, requiring "urgent treatment".

The 44 yr old German driver reportedly hit his head on a rock while skiing off-piste in the resort of Meribel earlier today.

He was airlfted to Grenoble hospital where he remains this evening.
