Taoiseach Micheál Martin has come under fierce criticism at the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting this afternoon.
TD Marc MacSharry said Mr Martin's relationship with his TDs was like one between a teacher and his students.
Meanwhile, a number of TDs expressed unhappiness with how the Taoiseach and senior ministers are leading the party without much input from other members.
There is unhappiness with the Government's communications strategy, with Fianna Fáil TDs believing there has been "a number of own goals".
This week has also seen several opposition parties criticise to the Government's communications on the COVID-19 measures.
Speaking in the Dáil yesterday, Labour leader Alan Kelly said "we do not need any more kite-flying about issues relating to entering people's homes, on-the-spot fines or all of the other mess we had last week about pubs and restaurants".
He claimed the previous health minister Simon Harris is going around like an "emeritus Minister for Health" - not giving the current minister Stephen Donnelly 'much space'.
Social Democrats co-leader Róisín Shortall, meanwhile, said she struggled "to understand what the Government's strategy or plan is".
