Former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton is having “a small operation” to fit a heart recorder after she was taken ill last week.

The singer, who is being treated at hospital in Watford, says she has ‘suffered from long and scary heart problems over the years’.

Heaton married Irish businessman Hugh Hanley in 2010 and gave birth to their daughter in January.
