Fine Gael TD Michelle Mulherin has repaid a further €1,300 to the Oireachtas over phone calls made to Kenya.

The repayment follows an Oireachtas investigation which found that her phone calls to Kenya cost more than the €2,000 she had already repaid.

The Mayo TD had complained that she was identified as the person behind the phone calls - which was a breach of her Constitutional rights.

However, an internal Oireachtas investigation it was found that Deputy Mulherin had not been identified by Leinster House authorities.

But instead she was identified by journalists, who had matched the call logs to her attendance records.
