A couple in the UK accused of killing their six children in a house fire are due to appear in court in Nottingham today as their manslaughter trial gets under way.
Mick and Mairead Philpott have both denied six separate counts of manslaughter in relation to the blaze in Derby last May.
They were initially to be charged with murder, but the charges were downgraded to manslaughter in December.
A third defendant, 45-year-old Paul Mosley, has also pleaded not guilty to the unlawful killing of the youngsters.
Both parents appeared on television after the tragedy, emotioanlly describing their ordeal.
