The Dáil's Justice Committee will hear of the plight of undocumented migrants living here, when it meets this afternoon.
Representatives of the Migrants Rights Centre of Ireland are expected to explain to TDs and senators how a scheme to regularise the migrants' lives may work.
It is estimated there are between 20,000 and 26,000 undocumented migrants living here, many of whom have Irish born children.
