MINI has had a long history in the Cinema business with appearances in movies such as The Italian Job and The Bourne Identity. It’s even had scenes in The Simpsons and American Dad. Now the MINI Cooper S is set to appear in the latest movie starring Adam Sandler – PIXELS.
PIXELS is a comedy Sci-Fi movie that shows the world being attacked by extra-terrestrials, which happen to be pixelated characters from old video games like Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and other such 80’s classics.
The movie, which is directed by Christopher Columbus, will feature four MINI Cooper S 3 door models which will take a central role in fighting the bad guys. To help save the world, the US government recruits four old-school arcaders who were at the top of their game during the 80’s (Mr Sandler, Peter Dinklage, Denis Akiyama and Josh Gad). The government gives the four gamers their own individual “MINI Ghosts” – which bear the names and colours of the Pac-Man Ghosts.
