A man has died after the minivan he was driving hit Athlunkard Bridge on Corbally Road in County Limerick at 2.55 this morning. 

No one else was in the minibus and the 30-year-old’s body has been taken to Limerick University Hospital for a post-mortem examination. 

The R463 at Athlunkard Bridge has been closed by Gardaí and Forensic Collision Investigators have been asked to carry out an examination of the scene.
