A child reported on Monday as missing from Lincoln, Nebraska was later found unharmed inside a claw machine at a nearby bowling alley.
The child's mother reported him missing at 5.30pm, after she returned from the bathroom to find him gone.
Meanwhile, across the road in the bowling alley, customers had discovered a child trapped inside the machine.
Staff were alerted, and promptly called the vendor to open the machine and free the child.
Police were soon notified and the child was quickly reunited with its mother.
It is believed that the 3-year-old wandered across the road by himself after a house door was left open, and then entered the machine through the chute used to dispense prizes.
