Concern is growing for a man who has been missing from his home in Westmeath for almost a week.

Michael Dillon (51) was last seen in Harristown, Kinnegad on January 5th.

Gardaí have issued a description of Mr Dillon - they say he is around 6 foot tall, of large build with tightly cropped grey hair.

He may be wearing blue waterproof trousers and rigger boots.

Gardaí say they are concerned for Michael's welfare and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Trim garda station on 046-9481540, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
