Mitsubishi Motors has announced that they will introduce the all-new L200 at the 85th International Geneva Motor Show in March. This will be the fifth generation L200 and in the last nine years the manufacturer has shifted 1.3 million units of the outgoing model.
The manufacturer tells us that this truck will reach new heights of “reliability, toughness, interior comfort and manoeuvrability”. This Sports Utility Truck will come with an all-new 2.4litre MIVEC turbo-charged diesel engine and we’ve been told that it will have an improvement of 17% in terms of CO2 emissions.
Outside the L200 retains many of the features of its predecessor while at the same time changes to the body have contributed to lower aerodynamic 0.40 Cd and increased fuel efficiency. Inside is apparently quieter thanks to further noise-reducing materials in the vehicle and on the body. We’re told that ride is smoother on account of larger body mounts and extended rear-suspension leafs.
The L200 is due in Mitsubishi Ireland during July/August of this year.
