Moncrieff has hit an all-time high number of weekly listeners as the latest JNLR report shows further growth in Newstalk’s overall audience.
Some 798,000 people tune in to Newstalk every week, representing 7% of the national market share.
Afternoon show Moncrieff reached 103,000 daily listeners, an increase of 5,000 in the last three months and continuing a period of sustained growth over the last year.
The Pat Kenny Show remains the station’s most popular show, with 179,000 people tuning in daily, a 6,000 increase.
Newstalk Breakfast with Ciara Kelly and Shane Coleman has an audience of 145,000 every morning.
The Hard Shoulder with Kieran Cuddihy now has an audience of 149,000, while Andrea Gilligan’s Lunchtime Live saw 102,000 daily listeners in the last quarter.
Weekends on Newstalk
Weekends on Newstalk have also seen huge success as The Anton Savage Show proves a big hit on Saturday mornings, growing its audience to 122,000 listeners.
Off The Ball remains a destination for sports fans on Saturday and Sunday afternoon reaching 126,000 and 151,000 respectively.
Newstalk Managing Editor Patricia Monahan said the station is “delighted to see more listeners tuning in every day, choosing us as their talk station”.

The JNLR report, measured from July 2022 to June 2023, also shows 3.3 million Irish adults tune in to the radio every week.
