Motorists have woken up this morning to find another coating of Saharan dust on their cars. The red-brown dust has blown our way from North Africa.
Drivers are advised not to rush to the car wash just yet as its likely to continue for another few days.
Cars along the east and south-east coasts were coated in a film of dust, which was deposited during rain showers last night.

This is not the first time it has happened - however it is very rare for the sand to actually survive long enough to make it to Ireland.
The dust was reported in parts of Dublin, Kildare and Meath, along with parts of England and Wales.
