Gardaí and officers from Revenue's Customs Service have seized almost €2m worth of cannabis in separate operations in Dublin and Wicklow.
As a result of routine profiling, customs officers seized 85kgs of herbal cannabis with a street value of €1.7m at Dublin Port.
The drugs were destined for premises in north Dublin. They were discovered when officers scanned a container of animal feed.
The x-ray revealed 85 smaller packages of vacuum-packed drugs, hidden in large cartons of animal feed.
Meanwhile gardaí have seized a quantity of cannabis and arrested a man in Co Wicklow.
