A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of an elderly man in Co Louth.
The 93-year-old was left seriously injured following the attack on Saturday afternoon.
He was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where his condition is understood to be stable.

Britain is planning to launch a new 50p coin to mark Brexit.
Its Chancellor Sajid Javid has asked officials to try to get it in circulation in time for the UK's scheduled exit date of October 31st.
The coins will have the words "Friendship with all nations" engraved on them.
