The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is attending the first ever summit between the European Union and the League of Arab States.
It is being held at the resort of Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt.
Co-chaired by EU Council President Donald Tusk and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, representatives of 28 EU member states and 21 members of the Arab League will consider issues such as multilateralism, regional peace and stability, migration and human rights.

The American singer R Kelly has spent the night in jail after appearing in court, charged with sexually abusing four people, including three minors.
A judge called the allegations "disturbing" as his bail was set at US$1m.
The allegations - which he denies - date back as far as 1998 and span more than a decade.

Hundreds of people have been injured, as troops clash with protesters on the Venezuelan border.
The government there is refusing to allow trucks carrying aid to cross the border from Colombia.
It is believed more than 60 soldiers have deserted their posts in support of the protests.
