The vast majority of Irish people had access to a computer (83%, and to the internet (81%), at home this year.

New figures from the CSO show there's been an increase of 18%in household's access to the internet between 2008 and 2012.

58% of individuals now use the internet daily.

66% of those people used the internet for email, while 45 percent used it for social networking!
