A motorcyclist has died following a crash in County Cork.

It happened at 11am on Monday, June 24, at Curravarahane in Bandon.

The two-vehicle collision involved a motorcycle and a car.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was brought to University Hospital Cork where a post-mortem will take place in the coming days.

The road was closed to allow for a technical exam but has since been reopened.

No other injuries have been reported from the crash.

Gardaí are asking for any witnesses of the crash to come forward, particularly those with dash cam footage.
