A motorcyclist has died following a crash in County Carlow.

It happened shortly before 11pm along the road between Rathoe and Ballon on April 24th.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A car involved in the crash was found burnt out at the location and the occupants were not at the scene.

Technical Exam

The local coroner and the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem exam will be arranged shortly.

A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed an incident room has been set up at Carlow Garda Station.

Gardaí are asking for any witnesses of the crash to come forward.
