A man (40s) is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Donard, Co Wicklow. 

Gardaí said the crash occurred shortly after 11am in Castleruddery Lower. 

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The road at Castleruddery Lower reopened last night after Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out a technical examination of the scene. 

Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward. 

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the Castleruddery Lower area between 10.30am and 11.30am yesterday are asked to make this footage available.
