A motorcyclist has died in a single-vehicle crash in Carnew, County Wicklow, last night. 

It happened at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday at Tombreane in Carnew, County Wicklow. 

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead. 

The road at Tombreane has reopened following forensic examination. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. 

They are particularly interested in anyone with dashcam footage who was driving in the area between 6.15pm and 6.45pm. 

Investigations are ongoing.
