A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Co Limerick.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the two-vehicle collision, involving a motorbike and a car, on the R515 at Kilmallock at around 2pm this afternoon.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The male driver of the car, aged in his 40s, received treatment at the scene for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The R515 road remains closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling on the R515, Kilmallock between 1.30pm and 2.15pm on Friday are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
